As one of the most effective interventions for dementia, Music & Memory can boost interest in your organization. A Facebook business page is a great way to promote your program to potential participants and their families.
Facebook pages are free to use and an effective way to raise awareness about your organization online and gain potential leads. If your organization already has a Facebook business page, consider posting about your Music & Memory program to attract followers and build interest. You can also create a Music & Memory-specific page, such as “Music & Memory at (your organization’s name).”
Use your Facebook business page to:
Share pictures, videos, testimonials and stories about your Music & Memory program (with permission, of course)
Add Music & Memory-related event pages for fundraisers, volunteer orientations or screenings of Alive Inside; guests can RSVP and get reminders
Fundraise using Facebook’s charitable giving donation tools
Link to your organization’s main website
Interact with page followers using Facebook Live
Target your audience so that posts reach people in your area
Take a look at the Morgan City Health Care Center and CAHF Music & Memory Project Facebook pages for inspiration.
P.S. Tag Music & Memory in your posts (“@Musicandmemory”) and we will share!
P.P.S. In addition to creating a Facebook page, check out our sample press releases and flyers located in the Care Community resources page to boost awareness of your program via traditional media.
